Brief History

Promo is a private company founded 1994 by Zarko Serafimovski and Dragan Blazevski (as Promo-Siemens). The main business was Siemens ICN and ICM (Information and communications Networks and Mobile). As a result of restructuring and new company policy in Siemens divisions the name Siemens was removed from Promo-Siemens in year 2003.

Due to the growing market of Siemens products in Macedonia a service was founded in 2000 and now it is part of the Promo Service Department. It is now Authorized Siemens service level 2.5 extended which is the highest service level outside the Siemens plants.

During the years we have explored the communications market and became partners and authorized dealers for other companies (Vierling – GSM gateways; Plantronics – world leader in headsets and accessories; Cullmann – high quality car kits; Tonna electronique – Video communications (cable, satellite, optical)).

In June 2004 Promo DOO, Skopje established new business relation with Siemens Moscow. Rules of the work have been stipulated and the frame agreement No. 001/2004 has been signed on 30.09.2004.

The main duties of the engineers are installation and upgrading of software of the Siemens Mobile Switches. After first year of work, Macedonian pool successfully finished many projects in: Luxemburg, Norway, Qatar, Tunisia, Iran, Jordan, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Berlin and many Russian republics.

Promo has grown since it was founded into a flexible company that is representing foreign companies in the local market. Promo is providing local support for the products and services of the companies we represent and take good care of the customers in Macedonia regarding all issues like technical support, service, maintenance and installation. Promo takes extra attention to big customers (like Macedonian Telecommunications, T-Mobile Macedonia, Cosmofon etc.) and they are provided with the care and attention typical for strategic partners.

Major Clients

The most important customers of Promo is Macedonian Telecommunications and its daughter company – the first of two GSM operators in Macedonia – T-Mobile Macedonia and Cosmofon.

1. Macedonian Telecommunications

Promo is working closely together with MakTel on projects for end users and has won many tenders by MakTel. Our good cooperation both financially an professionally with MakTel has resulted in frame agreement for supply of Siemens equipment for enterprise users to MakTel. We keep close and frequent contacts with all of MakTel’s departments for regular product updates and presentations regarding the technical and sales aspects.

2. T-Mobile Macedonia and Cosmofon

Promo is the vendor for Siemens, HTC and BenQ-Siemens mobile phones to T-Mobile Macedonia, Cosmofon (the second GSM operator), Germanos (phones and consumer electronics retailer), Nikofon (one of the biggest master dealers of T-Mobile Macedonia with shops all over Macedonia), all major banks, embassies, hotels, local and foreign companies etc.

Promo has good cooperation and excellent results on the Macedonian market.

The market share with Siemens communications products is 40% for the enterprise level PBXs with more than 200 companies in Macedonia with Siemens PBXs (HiCom and HiPath).

The market share with Vierling GSM gateways is around 50% sold directly or through MakTel, T-Mobile Macedonia, Cosmofon to the end customers.
